Efo Tete, also known as African spinach, is a highly nutritious and versatile leafy green vegetable native to tropical Africa. Scientifically referred to as Amaranthus hybridus, it belongs to the Amaranthaceae family and is a staple in Nigerian cuisine, particularly among the Yoruba people, where it is called Efo Tete. In Igbo, it’s known as Inine, while in Ghana, it’s called Alefu.
