About Jigawa State College of Nursing Hadejia
Along Mallam Madori Road Hadejia
Hadejia is a town at the eastern part of Dutse the capital of Jigawa State and its 164Km from the state capital (Dutse).
It is one of the twenty Seven (27) Local Governments of the State, and eldest emirate among the five emirates in the state.
There was State enrolled Nursing Institution there for over thirty years.
However, following the establishment of the first State Nursing School at B/Kudu that program was stopped until the establishment of the present College of Nursing Hadejia by the Executive Governor of the state His Excellency Alh. Muhammad Badaru Abubakar in the year 2017. The College will be graduating its first set of candidates in the year 2020.
The accreditation status was initially provisional with indexing permit of only 50 students by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. But after two years of inception when the regulatory body (Nursing Council) revisited the College its status was raised to full accreditation with a mandate of indexing seventy five Candidates every year.
To train a Nurse who will play an expanded role in rendering services within and outside the hospital as well as coping with the challenges of the dynamic nature of the society.
To provide students with a sound knowledge that is aimed at developing cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills in the provision of quality and holistic client care.
