INTRODUCTION:
The school I worked in for the very first time in my life had a need for an
assistant English Language Tutor which I was opportuned to apply for.
I had to prepare the senior secondary school three students for their English Language West African Examination which was in a months’ time. It was tough but I had to attend a weekly departmental training, do further online research, teach students and give assessment every day and give homework to help students better understand all they have learnt.
I taught the subject each day according to it’s parts: Comprehension, Structure, Composition and Phonics. It was interesting and easy even for the uninterested students.
At the end of their examination, ninety eight percent had A+ in their results it was a great success for my efforts and the school.
I was given a beautiful cutlery set by the proprietor of the school which I cherished a lot till date because I see it as another reward for my efforts.
I also served as national youth corp member in a secondary school where I was assigned as an assistant to the religion and national values teacher; I assisted in the classroom management, document coordination to maintain positive learning environment.
I also supported in classroom activities such as tutoring, grading homework and reviewing examination.
Recently I was a preschool head teacher where I applied play based strategies to provide diverse approaches to learning, worked hand in hand with teachers to bring the best out of all students. I can teach Agricultural Science, Christian Religion Studies, Social Studies, Civic Education, Essay writing, Letter writing,
