Federal University Oye, Ekiti, located within Oye community, was one of the nine Federal Universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, pursuant to an executive order made by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR. Federal University Oye-Ekiti, whose pioneer Vice Chancellor, is Professor Chinedu Ostadinma Nebo, OON, has two campuses at Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti with 8 Faculties and 51 Departments.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to this virtual overview of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. The Federal University Oye-Ekiti was established in the year 2011. Since its establishment, the University has continued to showcase herself as a prestigious higher institution of learning by ensuring quality delivery and an engendering environment for teaching, learning, research and community service. In line with global best practice, Federal University Oye-Ekiti promotes diversity and gender equity; hence, we accommodates over 3000 staff and 25,000 students (undergraduate and postgraduate) from across different tribes and nationalities including people with physical disabilities.

Federal University Oye-Ekiti operates a multi-campus system with the Faculties of Sciences, Education, Management Sciences, Physical Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Basic Medical Sciences and Social Sciences located at the main campus at Oye-Ekiti. The Faculties of Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Environmental Sciences are located at Ikole campus. The Postgraduate school is also located at Oye-Ekiti, while, the School of Pre-degree Studies and Part-time Studies are situated in Itapa and Aiyegbaju communities, respectively.

All academic programmes offered at our university are meticulously designed, and the curriculum is well-crafted to enable students to apply theoretical viewpoints in real-world settings. Furthermore, we have a strong research culture where our academic staff and students focus on solving societal challenges through evidence-based and translational research.
