Today, I visited my brother Salama Nuhu Habu, the CEO of Salama Digital Tech Consultant, located at Road Block, Jalingo, Taraba State. Mr. Salama is a graduate of Taraba State University, Jalingo, where he studied Microbiology. What’s remarkable about him is that he underwent special training in Digital Technology for 11 years through his apprenticeship period and sponsored himself throughout his university studies.
After completing his studies, Mr. Salama continued his training until he finished his serving years and now owns his shop, where many young people are learning under his guidance. His shop, situated beside Laddoksmart Plaza, Shop No.1, Yola Road, Jalingo, Taraba State, offers the following services:
– Overhauling of all diesel injectors, pumps, and nozzles of all kinds.
– Maintenance and repair of locomotive, marine, and stationary engines, such as DAF, MAN, FIAT, Mercedes Steyr, Harz, diesel generators, tractors, pumps, etc.
During my visit to his shop, I was excited to see how well Mr. Salama has excelled through his hard work. I want to encourage our youths to learn from his story by acquiring practical skills alongside their academic pursuits. Instead of relying solely on certificates, young people should consider learning a trade or skill that can empower them to become self-reliant and contribute to the economy.
